BROILER ASSISTANT - Rancho Cordova

Description:The Broiler Assistant has primary responsibility for quickly and efficiently preparing proper sized portions of high quality seafood, appetizers and side items to order and to proper temperature and appearance. The Broiler Assistant also has primary responsibility for assisting the Broiler Cook in timing of orders, quality control for all items and maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.

APPEARANCE:

All employees are expected to maintain a level of personal appearance and hygiene consistent with Cattlemens image and the comfort of fellow employees. For Back of the House employees not working in view of our guests, any jewelry worn must be safe and not violate health code regulations.

REPORTS TO: Kitchen Supervisor or Manager

Duties:• Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Prepare our food products to Cattlemens portion and quality specification
• Cook seafood, appetizers and all side items to proper doneness and appearance
• Follow proper Prime Rib handling and portioning procedures
• Prepare orders in a timely manner as directed by the Broiler Cook, ensuring delivery of hot food promptly
• Keep cook’s line stocked with all necessary utensils and food product
• Maintain rotation order in the finished goods walk-in refrigerator
• Maintain accuracy of required inventory records
• Maintain proper sanitary conditions in your work area
• Maintain the proper working condition of your equipment
• Conduct yourself with concern for personal and public safety at all times
• Adhere to strict security procedures in building and walk-in access
• Notify your manager of any quality concerns
• Maintain good communication and teamwork with Broiler Cook, Ponies, Servers and Supervisors


Qualifications:PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand at least 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to walk 1/3 to 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to communicate with co-workers up to 1/3 of your shift
• Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors
• Ability to use hands to handle or feel at least 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to climb or balance occasionally during your shift
• Ability to stoop, kneel or crouch occasionally during your shift
• Ability to reach with hands and arms at least 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to taste or smell 1/3 to 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb. and carry waist high 10 to 20 ft. 1/3 to 2/3 of your shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb. and carry waist high 10 to 20 ft. up to 1/3 of your shift
• Ability to lift up to 100 lb. and carry waist high 5 to 10 ft. occasionally
• Clear vision at 20 inches or less
• Color vision
• Normal peripheral vision and depth perception
• Normal ability to adjust vision focus


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Wet conditions up to 1/3 of shift
• Working near moving mechanical parts up to 1/3 of shift
• Working in cold conditions up to 1/3 of shift
• Working with slight risk of electrical shock
